Are you interested in a position as Laboratory Manager where you will lead the work, provide the company's customers with high-quality analysis and service using the company's own products in line with the principles of GCP? Are you thriving at your best when maintaining a high quality standard as compared to for example being the one building operations from scratch? Are you the spider in the web leading the staff, being responsible for a complex product and working very close to the customers?
Main duties/accountabilities
Lead and plan activities and resources within analysis operations in accordance with customer quality requirements and in line with internal procedures.
Responsible for ensuring that equipment and staff are qualified to fulfil services.
Review customer agreements with respect to offering and quality compliance.
Stay updated with applicable aspects of GCP and relevant quality standards.
Guides others in resolving complex issues within the Analysis Lab specialized area based on existing solutions and procedures.
Communicate with internal and external customers and keeping a customer service-focus on all aspects of the work.
Experience - Need to have
Bachelor's degree or higher within the Life Science field or similar.
Five or more years documented experience in management of laboratory work.
Proven track record of successful work within service in a similar field.
Strong competence in MS office programs and ability to learn other software.
Experience - Nice to have
GCP - You have most likely background from an accredited laboratory and/or operations within GxP. In you do not have experience from GCP, a background within GMP or GLP closely connected to service, is strong as a merit.
Molecular biology - You do not need to be an expert within the field. Your everyday tasks will be outside the lab but an solid understanding will facilitate communication within the group.
Personal skills
Good leaderships skills - Thorough, flexible, self-motivated and pro-active leader with an interest to work across teams and disciplines. The team consists of around 6 people. The plan for the near future is to scale up. This will also include finding solutions to increase output with available resources. Being the one inspiring the group and leading them through the changes will be important.
Customer interaction - Ability to meet customers in a professional and customer-friendly way. The most basic level of customer interaction for you is delivering the exact ordered product on time together with external follow ups. You will not be responsible for direct sales but will be responsible for the majority of the point of interactions with the company's customers.
Quality - The lab has during recent years grown and matured into the present organization with solid work flows and high quality products. You most likely prefer to work with existing and established structures with focus on keeping the level of quality high. The majority of operations build up and problem solving is already done. In conclusion you love being the spider in the web leading the staff, being responsible for a complex product and working very close to the customers.
Strong communication skills in English is a must have. Swedish is a very strong merit.
The position: This assignment is a full time position as a consultant during 6 months through Dfind with fixed salary. Depending on your profile a temporary or fixed employment may be preferred. The ambition is a long term perspective with a good chance of continuation.
