Are you interested in rheology and microscopy? In the role as Laboratory Engineer you will use your competence in these areas and deliver results for our internal clients in development, technical service, supply chain operations and commercial operations.



As part of Development & Service Operations, the DSO Packaging Material Organisation provides added value to customers by delivering high quality, competitive, sustainable and innovative packaging material solutions.



Within our organisation Material Analysis, we are now looking for a new member to join our team.



Main responsibilities

• Perform, evaluate, draw conclusions and report packaging material and base material analysis covering areas such as physical, mechanical, thermal, rheological, identification and optical analysis.
• Act as contact person to projects and support with your expertise in testing and analysis
• Build, improve and maintain technology know-how regarding test methodology in specific competence areas.
• Lead or participate in the development of new test methods




Qualifications


To be successful we believe you have a background and interest in theoretical and practical analysis, both in rheological and other thermal analysis methods and within microscopy.
You are accurate and organised in your work and you approach your tasks with an analytical perspective. You have a strong commitment to quality and you drive your tasks acting as an expert in your area. You like to develop your competence area by implementing or adapting new test methods or instruments. You are a clear communicator and you easily collaborate and network with colleagues, clients and suppliers.



We believe you have a MSc within Chemistry or Physics focusing on materials and material characterization. Good knowledge in English, written and spoken, is a requirement.
