Overview
We are searching for a temporary Laboratory Engineer Research with Microbiology knowledge to our R&D Tissue department in Gothenburg.
The position is placed within the Hygiene & Odor team and supports all product categories with hygiene related topics. We cover all from early development projects to marketing activities claiming hygiene with main focus on the early development.
The Laboratory Engineer Research is, within assigned projects/activities, responsible for the evaluation (planning, testing, analysis, conclusion and recommendation of results) of new solutions to meet consumer and business needs.
The Laboratory Engineer Research is further responsible for suggesting and exploring alternative methodology when needed.
The Laboratory Engineer Research represents the hygiene & odor research area as laboratory expert within the assigned projects/activities.

Main Tasks
Lead/coordinate microbiological lab work within projects/activities performed for all product categories
Suggest relevant test methods and equipment
Prepare and plan test set up
Perform tests, analyze and report test results including recommendation
Take the method development role in projects/activities
Represent the microbiological knowledge in projects and activities, acting as an expert and advisor
Maintenance of laboratories incl. equipment
Other laboratory tasks outside the scope of microbiology, e.g. chemical measurements like GC

Key Competencies
Technical university degree or similar
Solid experience in microbiological laboratory work
Theoretical knowledge in microbiology
Statistical skills
Good level in English both verbally and in writing

Furthermore we are looking for a service minded team player that is quick to learn, able to work independently and with analytical skills.
