Do you have a BSc or MSc in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and enjoy working in a laboratory? Nouryon now have an immediate opening for an R&D Laboratory Engineer to join our Application Development Paint Team, based in Stenungsund.
Nouryon has a unique technology base and profound experience in the production of high quality cellulose derivatives. In the Application Development Paint Team in Stenungsund we take care of support to product development projects, continuous improvement and our customers with a strong focus on rheology modifiers for waterborne architectural paint.
Main responsibilities:
Active participation in R&D projects, planning, executing and reporting of lab work, technical support activities for customers and internal continuous improvement activities
Responsible for keeping test methods and equipment up to date in close cooperation with QC-labs
Responsible for ordering raw materials and lab supplies
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Proactive, independent and result driven
Team player with communication and interpersonal skills
You have a drive for creating a safe and healthy working environment
Additional experiences from Paint and Coatings are considered a merit
To be successful in this position you are a good team player, eager to contribute and reach results. You are curious as a person and like to be working in a laboratory environment. You have the drive of making improvements and improve processes and are not unfamiliar with the thought on going on a few business trips per year.

The application process

In our first selection we thoroughly go through all the applications. If your skills and qualifications match the profile we are looking for, you will be invited to an initial phone interview that takes approximately 30 minutes. If you proceed in our selection process, we invite you to a face-to-face interview that takes about 1,5 hours. There you will meet with the recruiter and the hiring manager.
