We have an immediate opening for a Laboratory Engineer at the Bleaching Chemicals Process RD&I department in Bohus, Sweden.
As a Laboratory Engineer your main focus is to perform laboratory work to support RD&I projects at the department. Through your work you will contribute to the development of new and improved processes, as well as to new products and applications. Your ability to perform accurate and consitent chemical laboratory work and handle a flexible work-load will be very useful in this position. On a long term there are good possibilities to evolve and grow within the company.
Main responsibilities:
• Evaluate, report and present own results internally.
• Perform laboratory evaluations planned and agreed with manager, project leader, or client.
• Ensure that appropriate methods and equipment are used for the experiments.
• Secure that lab equipment is used, maintained and calibrated in a correct way.
• Supervise trainees and new employees within the own field of work.
• Time to time participate and support in e.g. trials at AkzoNobel's plants and customers.
• Participate in internal networks.

• Pre-university education/ Vocational/ Bachelor or corresponding.
• Result oriented, good ability to cooperate.
• Highly skilled in laboratory work.
• High safety awareness within peoples and process safety. *Communication skills in writing reports and presenting results in English.

This is a permanent position for on a full time basis. The position reports to the Group Manager for the Chlorine Dioxide group in PPC Bleaching Chemicals Process RD&I and is based in Bohus, Sweden.
