JOB DESCRIPTION
As Laboratory Coordinator you will report to the Chief Technology Officer and you will have extensive interaction with both colleagues and external contacts. You will be handling the maintenance schedule of technical equipment, conduct control tests and supervise external service engineers doing the same and reporting findings to the instrument responsible scientist or the team manager of the relevant laboratory where the instruments belong to.
Main Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Organize and handle the ordering of laboratory supplies
• Organize the storage of all chemicals substances/ raw materials, and compressed gases according to safety instructions
• Handle different EHS questions such as evacuation training, fire equipment, ventilated equipment etc.
• Coordinate maintenance of equipment and record instrument data in specified forms e.g. service reports (paper and electronic).
• Organising the daily work in the washing and sterilisation laboratories
• Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed and maintain a clean and orderly environment
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will have experience in the above listed working tasks and are well-trained to maintain safety and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) conditions. You have a degree in biology, chemistry, or relevant field, or corresponding work experience. You have proven experience working as Lab Technician or other relevant position and you have experience in operating laboratory equipment relevant for a Biotechnology R&D laboratory.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems and fluent in English, both speaking and in writing is required. If you speak Swedish it is an advantage.
