Are you a focused, analytical and hands-on chemist?

At our AkzoNobel Adhesives site in Årsta, we develop wood adhesives and resin systems for industrial use. We are now looking for our new colleague to fill the role as Lab Technician/Chemist.

What you will do
As a Lab Technician/Chemist within our Adhesives business you support our RD&I development projects. You take on order forms and work in lab work requests with formulations according to given recipes, run routine analysis and perform standard testing.

Other duties and responsibilities will be to:
• Support calibration of lab equipment according to calibration plans
• Support the RD&I mainstream with ordering of materials needed
• Teach new employees analysis and test methods used in lab, as well as hold safety rounds
• Supervises internships and temporary staff when needed
• Ensure that work always carries out according to the valid SOP 's and risk assessments

Who you are?
To be successful in this position you should hold a relevant degree from a post-secondary education within chemistry and with a couple of years of relevant work experience.

As a person you are a focused, analytical and a hands-on doer that really likes to be in the lab. You are communicative and able to meet people cross functionally within the organization. You are flexible and able to cope with long-term tasks as well as ad-hoc tasks at the same time. You have a great interest for production and its processes. You have excellent knowledge in the Swedish (or any other of the Nordic languages) and English language, written as well as spoken.
