Our plant in Bohus is a strategic production site and consists of four production plants, five laboratories and several offices.
We have an immediate opening as Laboratory Engineer within RD&I Chemical Analysis in Bohus, belonging to the Spectroscopy group.
Chemical Analysis is a central resource within AkzoNobel PPC. The department is performing analysis of raw material, products and environmental samples for the producing units in AkzoNobel PPC. Chemical Analysis takes part in research and development projects, market support, trouble shooting and development of new analytical methods. 26 people are working at the department, the three groups Wet Chemistry, Spectroscopy and Chromatography.
As Laboratory Engineer you will perform chemical analysis on a daily basis, take care of instruments and trouble shooting in your group. You will get a large network within the organization and have the opportunity to work with interesting chemistry issues in a highly skilled team.
In the Spectroscopy group that consist of five persons we use mainly ICP-OES, ICP-MS and AAS.
Main responsibilities
• Perform and report high quality chemical analytical work for production control, RD&I and Marketing& Sales
• Instrument and analytical method responsibilities
• Support method development
• Maintain and promote a safe working environment
• Plan and perform activities as decided together with manager, project leader and client
• Bachelor in analytical chemistry
• Experience from laboratory work
• Good analytical skills
• Good ability to cooperate
• Flexible with good interpersonal skills
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
Merits:

• Relevant work experience or similar
