Would you like to play a key role in the development of new coating technology platforms for the European Coil Coating business?
Then you might be one of three Lab Chemists for AkzoNobel's new Coil Coating Development laboratory in Malmö. As a Lab Chemist you will:
• Organize and work on product formulations through rigorous analysis and consultation with internal and external subject matter experts
• Use experimental concepts to test and develop formulations and report results to the RD&I project team thereof
• Contribute actively to the project team through interpretation of results and technical knowledge, to agree on an effective plan for future development
• Ensure that all tasks are carried out in compliance with the company's quality and health, safety & environmental systems.
For one of the positions a significant part of the work task will include database management. This means you will be responsible for running and maintaining a scientific database with testing data and information.

Qualification:
We are looking for individuals with a B.Sc.(or higher degree) in (paint) chemistry, polymer science or chemical engineering. We believe you have relevant working experience and practical skills from the industrial coatings industry or academia and preferably knowledge of paint formulation and processing, thermosetting technologies, coatings performance evaluation and testing as well as related raw material selection. You also have project management knowledge and ability to use a statistical approach within product development.
On a personal level you have a strong delivery focus with good analytical and communication skills. You have a methodical and proactive way of working with a burning desire to learn.
