Position description
We offer a researcher position in environmental engineering, focusing on experimental work as part of a project funded by the VEMM group (comprised of the companies VafabMiljö, Eskilstuna Energi och Miljö and Mälarenergi AB). The researcher will need to conduct experimental work, including hydrothermal carbonization of sewage sludge, biochemical methane potential testing (BMP) and pot experiments. The researcher will also need to analyze and interpret the experimental results as well as collaborate closely with PhD students, senior researchers and industrial partners.
Qualification requirements
The candidate is required to have a master's in environmental engineering or equivalent. The applicant should be fluent in English, both written and spoken.

Competence profile:
• Proven expertise in laboratory work with focus on hydrothermal carbonization and biochemical methane production (BMP) testing.
• Demonstrated ability to independently plan, execute and analyze research projects.

Merit
• Background in earth science, biogeological cycles and soil dynamics.
• Experience in conducting pot experiments.
