hela Sverige The Science Directorate at the European Spallation Source (ESS) in Lund, Sweden, invites applications for a Lab Administrator in the Detector Systems Services Section.
Description of group
The Detector Group within the Science Directorate has an active R+D programme that is time critical for successful completion of the ESS project. The two facilities used to develop part of the Detector Work Package scope are the detector lab (Utgård) and the mechanical workshop (EMBLA).
Main responsibilities
The successful candidate will be a Lab Administrator to assist the two Technicians on technical ad hoc assignments and to take care of the administrative and general management aspects to run the two workshops of the Detector Group. In addition, the candidate will assist in general administration for the Detector Services Section.
Qualifications
• This position requires excellent communication skills (conversation and writing levels) in English. Swedish and other European languages is an advantage.
• The candidate would be structured and experienced in working with procedures, as well as being capable of writing procedures.
• Basic level of IT required. More advanced level of IT will be an advantage.
• An interest in both hardware as well as demonstrable technical skills.
• Administrative experience will be an advantage.
• The ability to work both independently and in groups is highly desirable.

Duration & Location
The position is a fixed term position for 36 months. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden. The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
