3M is seeking a temporary Quality Engineer for the manufacturing site in Västervik, Sweden. Our Quality Engineer will go on parental leave and we are looking for a replacement.

The position of Quality Engineer located in Västervik, Sweden, will provide Quality leadership and support to high priority new products and continuous improvement programs.

The Quality Engineer will work and interact significantly with other cross functional team members (R&D, production, process engineering, regulatory, etc.). This position can provide a great opportunity to learn, grow, and develop as an employee. The Quality Engineer will need good written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, be process and system oriented, and be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:
• Lead quality improvement projects to reduce costs and reduce customer complaints.
• Develop and validate test methods.
• Develop and analyze shelf life and stability studies.
• Lead Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Assure compliance to internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and external regulations.
• Evaluate customer complaints, internal defects and trends, and determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Represent quality and quality assurance on new product development (NPI) projects.
• Help to drive and foster a quality environment and mindset throughout the business.
Qualifications

Basic/Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University
• Minimum of 3 year of experience working in a product/quality engineering function

Preferred Qualifications:
• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) experience
• Strong demonstrated leadership ability
• Experience leading quality assurance efforts
• Experience with new product introduction (NPI)
• Engineering Degree (mechanical engineer, chemical, statistics, chemistry, etc.)
• The ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Manufacturing experience
• Statistical knowledge and practice
• Test method development and validation experience
• Six Sigma methodology experience
