Externally Sourced Products Sweden (ESP) is part of the Industrial Seals and Marine BU within RSS (Regional Sales & Service) and acts as a link between sales and production of Industrial Seals within SKF. Industrial seals is a growing segment within SKF. ESP is a non-manufacturing unit and production is subcontracted to external suppliers. Supplier development is therefore an integral part with a high focus within the organization. To strengthen our team we are looking for an integrated quality and technical engineering resource. We are searching for a
Quality and Technical Engineer
The quality engineering role includes working closely together with the unit's suppliers for development purposes like improvement programs, audits, claim analysis, product verification etc. The supplier base is worldwide.
The role as a technical engineer will include providing technical support and the coordination of technical specifications for Landskrona unit and also to rest of Industrial Seals group.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support and documentation within the organization and to external suppliers.
Update drawings and technical specifications based on existing product designs and material.
Coordinate and perform supplier development activities together with the quality manager.
Perform internal and external audits.
Validate product design (initial samples and PPAP).
Coordinate supplier related claim handling.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills and Working Experience.
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Experience with Pro/ENGINEER is a requirement.
Experience with CAD programs, especially AutoCAD, is a plus.
Experience from working with quality, and quality tools (PPAP, FMEA etc.), is a requirement.
Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO/TS 16949 is a plus.
Experience with internal and/or external auditing is a plus.
Experience with Design For Six Sigma and/or project management is a plus.
Fluent in spoken and written English is a requirement.
Previous experience in a cross-functional and international business environment is a plus.
Computer literate and proficient in MS office programs like Excel, Word, Power Point, is a requirement.
