Position description:

Interior Trim within Interior department consists of approximately 120 engineers organized into six groups developing components within the following areas: Interior Light and Functional parts, Trunk trim, Door trim, Pillar trim, Headliner system, Floor carpets and Sound absorbents.
We are now looking for an experienced project leader to lead the development work for the component area Overhead console and reading lamps as a temporary assignment replacing a team member who will be off on parental leave.
As project leader for the Overhead console and reading lamps, you are responsible for all deliverables connected to implementing the new system solutions into our new car models. The Overhead console and reading lamps are parts built by a combination of mechanical and electrical content. These components are a part of the interior light package within the car and the Overhead console also include other functions such as the switch for the panoramic roof, alarm sensor etc. This means that you as a project leader are involved in many different interesting interfaces and teams where new technology are developed.
For this program the development of the system is done together with a supplier.
Interior is a highly focused area both from styling and customer point of view, which makes it an interesting and dynamic department to be a part of.
Main responsibilities:
• Lead a cross functional team in the ongoing development project and ensure delivery with regards to time, technology, and cost requirements
• Perform design reviews
• Ensure that verification activities are planned and performed according to the overall time plan
• Ensure production launch
• Manage supplier contacts with regards to planning and monitoring
• Ensure commonality between projects
• Work in close cooperation with the suppliers
• Ensure that a correct part structure is created and that the technical documentation is reviewed and released
Required qualifications:
• University degree in engineering
• Experience/understanding of design work in Catia and other systems that manage drawings and 3-D models.
• Experience from development of electrical HW and SW.
• Experience from project management
• Excellent English skills, verbal and written
• Driver's license
Meritorious experience:
• Experience from automotive area
