Primarily, MVV:s customers are in the areas of automotive, oil/gas and robotics/automation.

Engineer with the ability to lead the complete development - Exterior Trim
Exterior department within Product & Quality develops and are responsible for the whole process regarding design and development of exterior systems. The section Exterior Trim, within the Exterior department, consists of five groups with around 70 employees and additional consultants.
The group Functional Black Trim Floor, 93641, today consists of 20 persons with responsibility for the development of Under Body Panels, Engine Under shield, Heatshields, Wheel Arch Liners, Splash shields, Air deflectors, Mud flaps and Labels.
We are currently in a big change towards working in agile teams, creating customer value by designing and developing in-house, but also in collaboration with suppliers. We now want to enforce our teams with an Engineer that want to be a part of our future journey - with the mission to develop our product both as a design engineer as well as a project leader.
The work is conducted in an international environment in close co-operation with, for example purchasing, manufacturing, different attribute areas, our factories, as well as external suppliers. The wide range of components and technical areas in the group as well as all future projects allow us to offer an exciting and challenging work in a group with lots of competence, good atmosphere and team-spirit!
Main responsibilities:
• In the work you will be in connection and communicating with suppliers from all over the world which demands business acumen.
• We want you to be a part of the good team spirit and that you could motivate, coach and teach other team members.
• You should see complex, technical problems as a challenge and be able to suggest different solutions.
• You should be able to propose design solutions that best fulfil all requirements for the system/component. Understanding the complete picture is needed to understand the role of your system in the complete car and your role and tasks as a part of a complete car project.
• You must be able to manage tasks through all development phases, from concept phase to running production.
• You have the responsibility that time, technology and cost are held and will be kept within the agreed framework as well as secure quality assured deliveries.
Tasks and deliveries:
• Develop technical solutions from idea to agreed solution
• Develop technical solution that fulfils targets within Time, Technique and Cost frames
• Develop 3D models for virtual verification and manufacturing of proto tools/part for physical verification
• Develop 3D-modells and 3DPMI for manufacturing of production parts
• Participate in test- and verification planning
• Contribute to secure geometry and final demands
Required qualifications:
• Minimum B.Sc. grade within mechanics or similar education
• Good knowledge in TCe & Catia V5 incl 3DPMI
• Preferred knowledge in Template development
• Knowledge of stable modelling and CAD Advance is advantageous
• Experience within automotive
• Knowledge about working principles for product development and the system used in that process
• Good knowledge in designing plastic and metal
• Strong connection or experience from some or many of the other systems/components we are responsible for is advantageous
• Good knowledge in English (speaking/writing)
• Driver license level B
Preferred qualifications:
• Experience and knowledge in KDP is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the concerned Volvo systems (such as the KDP, LEQM, POB, TSU etc)
• Knowledge of the project process system VPDS.
