KU Wheels and Tyres

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As KU WHEELS AND TYRES within the group Wheels, Tyres & Equipment you have, for a certain project, the responsibility to operate and manage a component within the area Wheels and Tyres. As KU you take steps to eliminate discrepancies and report them immediately. You comply with decisions of working according to Global Product Development System (GPDS) and the applicable procedures in Business Management System (BMS). You anchor project decisions, developments, status and prognosis in the line and project organisation. Further more you ensure that new investigations/extended content of the assignment is accepted by the required line manager and project forums.

Wheels and Tyres include today 15 men and women in different ages, background and experience. We are characterized as an open and friendly group where everyone shares their knowledge with each other. The group is now looking for two new component task leaders (KU).

Job profile:

• Manage the assignment through a cross functional team and ensure that all results and deliveries are in accordance with the time, technical and cost (TTC) contract
• Manage the project according to plan with a set task structure and develop, monitor and update relevant time plans for this level and current task
• Develop technical solution and documents that describe the systems and components (or review solutions developed by supplier).
• Report the status and forecast for the project to SU (Subsystem task leader)

Your profile:

• MSC in Mechanics, Mechatronics or similar education
• Analytical ability and design experience
• Able to work in a structured and independent way
• Very good practical and theoretical knowledge within the product area and the impact on complete vehicle
• Excellent communication and courage to challenge others
• Good knowledge in English and Swedish written and spoken
• Have a strong delivery orientation
• Preferably knowledge in Volvo Cars' processes and systems
