Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra (GSO) is the National Orchestra of Sweden, playing around 100 concerts a year at the Gothenburg Concert Hall at Götaplatsen.
In addition to concerts in Gothenburg as well as international touring, the symphony orchestra's digital concert hall GSOplay broadcasts concerts live and on demand in full HD.
GSO's ambition to be one of the leading orchestras includes efforts to maintain a choir of high standards. In line with this we have from 2015 also 12 part-time employed chorists.
Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra Vocal Ensemble (GSVE)
The employed singers' main role is to be the core of GSK, but they also perform on their own.
Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra Choir (GSK)
The choir with its 90 singers performs with GSO four to six times a year in Gothenburg Concert Hall together with leading conductors.
