Department "Composite & Technologies" - Business Unit Surface Ship
Department "Composite & Technologies" contains a number of development areas including composites, electromagnetic compatibility, remote-controlled autonomous systems and signatures.
The area composite development consists of specialists within composite material and composite structures with emphasis of shipbuilding, which needs to be expanded with a specialist.
Main accountabilities
• Monitor the technical progress in the scientific area of composite technologies, analyse and assess research, information's and trends
• Develop manuals, specifications and guidelines
• Participate in and lead analysis, calculations and design solutions
• Establish and develop contacts with universities, technical institutes and other relevant stakeholders nationally as well as internationally
• Provide support and coaching, resolve complex technical problems
• Identify training needs in collaboration with line managers
• Participate in identification and definition of relevant development projects within the area of composite structures
• Manage development projects
Qualification Profile
Requirements
• Master of Science degree in Naval Engineering
• A minimum 10 years experience in shipbuilding
• Deep knowledge within the specific technical area.
• Very good knowledge in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• Good skills in Office programs.
Meritorious
• PhD or Lic. in composites, composite structures or in Naval Vessel Structures
• Experience in financial planning and budgeting
• Published articles in trade press, seminars, conferences
• German language and experience of different cultural collaborations
• Experience in project work within the frameworks of EU
