Commercial Vessel Section - Business Unit Surface ships
The section manages all commercial applications of Business unit Surface ships products, i e the CarboCAT family of workboats and passenger ferries and the CSC concept.
Main accountabilities
• Development of new concepts in the CSC, Composite Superstructure Concept
• Development of new concepts in CarboCAT
• Handle class and flag state issues
• Development and preparation of technical documentation for classification, flag state and production
• Support production during construction and outfitting process
• Development of systems and detailed documentation for auxiliary systems and HVAC
• Development of outfitting options, choice of deck equipment
• Production of various furnishing options
• Manage the database for requirement analysis and specification work
• Fulfillment of specifications, quality and other standards, schedule, budget/costs
Qualification Profile
Requirements
• A Minimum Bachelor of Science in Naval Architecture or Marine Systems
• A Minimum of ten years experience working in shipbuilding
• Good knowledge in HVAC systems, equipment and furnishing
• Good knowledge in 2D and 3D CAD tools
• Good knowledge in relevant analytical tools
• Good knowledge in Swedish Maritime Administration's (SMA) laws and regulations
• Experience of classification societies such as DNV
• Good spoken and written skills in Swedish and English language
• Good knowledge of MS Office programs
Meritorious
• Marine experience
• Experience of working with composite materials
• Experience of international laws and regulations in the field
• Knowledge of the German language
• Experience in working with people from different cultures
