Department
As Technical Project Leader for the SBW team in Mullsjö you will be a part of a creative and highly skilled team of engineers specialized in mechanical and electronic design. The SBW team designs future automatic shifters, shifter decoration parts and actuators including control modules. In our designs, we use plastic injection molded parts in combination with steel and other materials. Electronics is a vital part in our products putting focus on the mechatronics interface.
Role description
The Technical Project Leader will mentor and guide the development team in new and running projects especially in regards to our new electronics development process. The target is to make sure to utilize the engineering knowledge to deliver top class designs with the right quality, at the right time, meeting the different cost targets.
The objective is also to lead the design team and to develop the resources of the design team to work in an efficient manner to reduce time and cost. The Technical Project Leader is also responsible for ensuring that the work is carried out in accordance with the KA quality assurance process to meet set up objectives.
You will also be responsible for tracking of projects that are in a RFQ-, development- and PIP-phase and report the status on a frequent basis. Expected tracking:
• Phase of each project
• Detailed R&D spending curve vs budget
• Tracking of customer ECNs and how much KA has sold and signed them for
• Project review in terms of main open issues
Candidate profile
We are looking for you with a Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics Engineering or similar. Preferably, you have at least five years of experience in managing and leading projects and three years of experience in SW or HW design. A background in automotive is merited. Fluent in English both verbal and written is a requirement.

You have many ideas and a strong drive as well as you listen to your team-members and are open for new paths. With your problems solving working method, you enjoy challenges and have a solution- and result driven approach. Structure is important for you both independently and in the team.
