In April 2021, Volvo Group and Isuzu Motors formed a strategic alliance with the goal of becoming the largest and most competitive commercial vehicle alliance in the world. This long-term worldwide cooperation is based on a "win-win" approach, with each party leveraging its strengths in specific products, technology, and markets to maximize value and benefits. In this strategic alliance, Purchasing has a key role in identifying and executing synergy initiatives and projects that harvest on the alliance strengths.

We are now strengthening the Purchasing set-up by recruiting a second Key Account Manager (KAM). The mission is to manage the maintenance and project activities for all Alliance components. You will also be the day-to-day interface from GTP to Isuzu Motors/UD Trucks Purchasing as well as to other Volvo Group stakeholders to deliver product maintenance in an efficient and compliant manner.

What will you do

As the KAM Purchasing you will be the one contact point to take up all issues connected with Purchasing Framework Agreement (PFA) and other operational concerns (execution, follow up and revisions). You will mobilize and address relevant GTP resources and resolve cross company functional/operational issues to support Isuzu Motors/UD Trucks maintenance and project activities. By acting as facilitator you will play a key role in addressing roadblocks with respect to prioritization of resources and/or projects.
In the role you will get to interact and collaborate with many stakeholders within the Volvo Group and you will build Alliance governance and when needed, propose to Purchasing Cross Company Functional Team (PCCFT) for guidance and approval. You will train and guide the purchasing teams and suppliers on Alliance ways-of-working and secure that all the activities and communications are compliant with legal guidelines.
Another important responsibility is to build and document Alliance related processes, ways-of-working, responsibility split and governances and update them according to the needs.

Who are you?

We believe you have the ability to manage complex situations in a neutral, fair and compliant way, with a long-term "win-win" relationship in mind. You have the ability to take good decisions in line with internal stakeholders, considering risks, opportunities and alternative solutions. As Key Account Manager you need to have courage and integrity, as you will need to handle ambiguities and hold things together during tough times.

What we need you to have:
* University degree in Engineering/Technology and/or Business Administration.
* Good knowledge in Automotive Purchasing with relevant operational experience
* Extensive network in Truck Divisions (GTP, GTT and GTO) and Business Areas
* Experience of working in diverse areas/organizations which has given you a strong intercultural understanding and ability to execute in a global, multi-dimensional and multi-cultural organization.
* Ability to lead, inspire, challenge and coach working teams.
* Proficiency in Japanese is considered as a plus.
