Since 1958, our client, Waters Corporation has been in the business of making innovative analytical instruments that assist scientists in reaching their scientific goals, increase productivity, and earn laboratory-based organizations a higher return on their investments in research, development, and quality control. Komet is now looking for a Contract Administrator for our client.

The role is initially responsible for contract review in the Northern Region (UK, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark,. Norway, Finland and the Baltics).

The role is to be filled on a temporary basis and is part time (apx. 50%). End date not specified.

Major activities and responsibilities:

Sales contract review

• Review legal terms in all sales contracts in the region

• Ensure that any agreement to accept consequential damages or penalties in excess of $1m are approved before agreement with Regional F&A Manager or Regiuonal General Manager

• Provide summary report to Regional F&A Manager outlining tenders / contracts reviewed

• Ensure that all orders greater than $350K are updated in SAP with an order review or confirmation that the customer did not agree any terms outside standard.

Establish and develop framework for processing of contracts

• Review, develop and enhance current standard terms and conditions

• Establish rules for answering to tenders/contracts and develop standard responses

• Create a filing system for documented contract review to enable quick access by sales people to use in similar situations

• Develop alternative routes when changes to customer terms are not possible, eg. outline customer responsibilities (used to negate future claims)

• Develop lease contract templates

Are you the person we are looking for?

• Law degree or law student with at least 2 years of law studies complete

• Fluency in English and Swedish, ability to read Danish and Norwegian.

• Some experience in commercial law

• Ability to work independently towards a set goal

• Self confidence to approach sales staff and customers

Information about the assignment:

Start: May 2nd

Work hours: flexible (office hours) part time 50%

Salary: according to agreement
