The section is responsible for test leading and verifying the products developed in Lund. We have the responsibility to find and report all business relevant software defects as well as pushing for their correction. In daily operations we perform risk analysis and provide other parts of the test organization with recommended test sets. In addition we also perform flexible tests sets ourselves.
Test
Project Office has the responsibility of being the voice for software quality, and our challenge is to give a clear, consistent and fair picture of it.
Another aspect and focus area within the section is to perform root cause analysis (RCA) on returned phones making sure that we continuously improve testing
and quality as well as increasing the knowledge about customer expectations.
As a tester you will be part of all above. Typically you will be part of one phone project team, reporting to one of the test leaders. You will probably have some area in which you are the specialist and responsible, for example a specific test area or a tool. You will be part of analyzing incoming software and integration risks on a weekly basis and you will also be part of the test execution, mitigating those risks. You will write test
reports to your test leader and also assist him or her in more in depth investigations daily. You could also be the interface towards other parts of our organization making
sure that cooperation is working smoothly on daily business.
The assignment is rather flexible and requires you to be self driven to a large extent.
You will receive input and expectations from you test leader but you will also have to drive own initiatives without detailed instructions.
Required skills:
To manage the role as a tester you need to have analytic skills and you need to be thorough. A huge interest in the technical area is also qualifying. It is good if you have
knowledge of interpreting code and logs. Tools that we are using are for example DMS, QC, Flash Gordon and LogCat.
The type of work encourages you to use creative working methods and idea generation. Of course you are interested in test and have the right mindset for this.
You are self driven and eager to learn as well as you can cooperate and being flexible.
An important quality is to have the courage to drive issues and that you can contribute in driving the
department to improve further.
University degree is not mandatory but preferred. You are fluent in English, both writing and speaking.
