REQUIREMENTS
We believe you are a passionate engineer recently graduating from university or with a few years of experience in systems and/or software engineering with proficiency in at least one programming language, but not a must. The key is that you have a wish to learn and grow within INGKA. If you are willing to learn we will support you with the needed training and knowledge to grow into the role.
Work experience / hands-on skills in the following areas will be an advantage:
* Experience of working and configuring SaaS applications
* Working in the area of Time and Schedule applications
* Knowledge of API integrations and creation of design documentations
* Worked with second level support
A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
When you join us as a Junior System Engineer you will be part of a team that designs, builds and supports the products in our domain.
You will:
* Together with the team be part of the iterative design process with the team
* Participate in the trainings to get the required certification needed for configuring and implementing vendor solution UKG Dimension and Central application.
* Work together with our SaaS provider UKG and define and create solution design between Ingka and UKG solutions.
* Make sure our documentation and specifications are always up to date
* Support the products we develop in production

ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
In People Domain we work with several different solutions supporting the many co-workers at IKEA with products to make their day to day life easier. One of this areas are People Planning where we work with Schedule and Time keeping solutions for the co-workers. In this area one of the vendor solutions are UKG Dimension/Central.
In People Planning sub-domain we want to be able to build and configure our products as independently as possible to deliver fast outcome to our end-users. Since our product landscape contains external solutions, such as UKG Dimension/Central. We need to empower our team with this specific skills and experience of UKG Dimension and UKG Central.

What inspire me and is the reason for loving my job at IKEA?I would say it's many things, first of all it's a company with fantastic values and we are really using our values as a guiding star in everything we do.
But if we go into specifics what me (and hopefully you) can do to make a difference? One example is how we are set-up in our team. We as a team have the accountability of our product end to end, if we make a mistake that is fine. But it's also us as a team that needs to solve the mistake and learn from it. To be able to take on this accountability we need to have a team with different personality and core skills in the Engineering sector. This is what inspire me, that one individual cannot solve everything, but as a team we can do magic!
