About the position
Perido are looking for a Junior Studio Engineer to our client, a leading global manufacturer of transport-related products. This includes trucks, buses, construction machinery, marine and industrial equipment, as well as engines. The position is placed in Gothenburg.
Your daily tasks
In the position of Junior Studio Engineer, you will play a key role in the creation of high-fidelity interaction software and hardware prototypes to validate Interaction concepts in partnership with a UX designer. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of contexts, including test cars, production cars, and rigs. Your contributions will extend to crafting software and hardware prototype solutions for user interfaces within our concept cars. This role necessitates close collaboration with various engineering departments within Volvo and external suppliers. As a Junior Studio Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing your designated tasks and prioritizing deliveries with guidance. Tasks revolve around:
Assist in developing HMI solutions to align with Design intentions
Support and maintain the software/hardware in test cars, focusing on user experience
Contribute to the exploration of new technical solutions to support Design intentions
Provide support to the UX design organization with technical information and insights
Qualifications:
Sc. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics
Knowledge in C/C++ and Python programming
Basic understanding of React/JavaScript
Familiarity with working and configuring in a Linux Environment
Basic understanding of cross-application communication solutions (such as CAN, LIN, FLEXRAY, MQTT)
Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Contract type and hours
Full-time, consultancy assignment until 2024-12-10 with the possibility of an extension. Start date: 2023-11-27.
