Kavall gives you fresh groceries on-demand. Delivering groceries in 10 minutes was up until recently unimaginable, but they believe that is how it should be, giving you what you want when you need it. By offering food of the highest quality from the producers you love, they transform the grocery industry through our own local stores, one at a time.
Our clients team builds the Kavall grocery shopping mobile app, as well as the backend and logistics integrations needed for there warehouses and delivery service. Data is at the core of what they do, from managing product information, recommending recipes to their users, to sending an order to one of their Riders. We are now looking for a Junior Software Developer to join the team and to be a part of building the new way of "stream shopping" .
You will enter a company with new tech, great culture and driven people. This role is for you that wants to learn, evolve and be on a journey on one of the fastes moving sectors today.
They use Dbt, Google Data Studio and BigQuery for analytics. They've built their main backend in Node.js/TypeScript with Firestore and MySQL, using Firebase/Pubsub to trigger asynchronous backend jobs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
BSc in Computer Science / similar program, or equivalent work experience
Good communication skills; able to talk to non-technical business stakeholders as well as participate in tech discussions with the tech team
Good software engineering fundamentals.
Experience with one or several programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Scala
Great if you can show us some open source projects
Bonus:
Experience with cloud services and operations, in particular Google Cloud Platform and managed data pipelines, e.g. Google Dataflow
Experience with data visualisations and dashboards with Google Data Studio, Tableau, or other relevant tools

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT:
is is a consulting assignment meaning you will initially be employed by Friday. The ambition is for the assignment to result in a permanent employment at the client company after a 9 month consultancy.
