Thinfilm is focused on providing low-power, non-volatile, rewritable polymer memory technology and integrated products such as sensor tags in the rapidly growing market of Printed Electronics. We seek outstanding engineers to join our team. These individuals will help support the continued development and realisation of providing printed electronics of the future.

We are looking for a print or nanotechnology process engineer to be based in Linköping, Sweden. The job will include development of print processes for various materials and layers in Thinfilm's transistor team. You will be involved in developing our basic transistor technology and working on other advanced components such as diodes. An important part of the job will be to improve existing processes and suggesting improvements to the products to improve performance, yield and production efficiency. You will work with printing processes including gravure printing and coating processes such as slot die and micro-gravure. In time, the focus will be shifted to produce larger volumes of various components for various customer projects, both demo series as well as larger series of components

The majority of the work will take place in the cleanroom at Thin Film. Experience and formal qualifications in process development, printing of functional materials, and/or nanotechnology is highly relevant, though we also look for and value personal initiative, the ability to work independently and in teams, and demonstrated English-language communication skills.

• Development and optimization of various print processes
• Evaluation and testing of new materials and material combinations used in print processes
• Preparation of substrates, materials and inks for processing

Requirements::

• M Sc in engineering, preferably within the printing, physical or organic chemistry, nanotechnology or material science areas
• You shall have both a practical and theoretical knowledge about microelectronics processing or printing of functional materials
• We expect that you enjoy doing careful and systematic practical work in a high-paced environment
• We expect that you are an inventive person good at solving problems in the lab
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills
• Excellent team player

Beneficial requirements::

• Experience in gravure printing, slot die coating, screen printing or flexo printing is an advantage
• Experience in working in clean room environment is an advantage
• Industrial experience is an advantage
• Experience and knowledge of physical or surface chemistry is an advantage
