We are developing perception solutions for autonomous vehicles, a truly inspiring area. This means that we decide on the sensors that are used by our vehicles, and that we work with the SW that powers them and processes the data they supply. Sensor specialists, SW engineers, and algorithm developers are working closely together to push the limits of technology.
This is how you could make an impact
We are in an active recruitment phase and are expanding our software and hardware teams. You will be participating in the development of products completely new to the market and thus get an opportunity to influence how the future autonomous society will behave. Whether working close to HW or writing code, your passion, curiosity, and eagerness to learn from your more senior colleagues will all help bring success to your team. While our teams are working closely together to maximize the performance of our solutions, your focus area will be specifically either HW or SW.
In the HW domain the most demanding tasks are to find the best technical solutions to given problems. Sometimes you will have well-defined requirements, and sometimes vague, but the end goal will be the same: deliver success for our customers through the clever application of technology. When writing SW, we have very high-quality standards and focus on maintainable, modular, and scalable code, whether it's an API or an algorithm.
Does this seem like a daunting mission? Do not worry, as a Perception HW or SW Engineer in V.A.S. you will cooperate closely with the senior members of your team and with people from other V.A.S. technology areas to share extensive product knowledge. You will get the opportunity to learn from the best!
Who are you?
We are looking for junior engineers, either fresh out of college or with a couple of years' experience. Thus, prior experience in a related industry setting is not a prerequisite, we are more interested in the right personal characteristics, such as eagerness to learn, attention to details, passion for technology. We also believe you should be a good listener and fluent in English, and that you easily connect with other people as this job is built upon communication and collaboration.
Additionally, for a HW engineer, characteristics such as pro-activeness and can-do mindset are important. A successful SW engineer is expected to demonstrate a passion for SW which can be embodied in various forms; show us!
For this position we need you to have (or expect to get in a couple of months' time) a university degree in Electrical engineering, Engineering Physics, Computer Science, or similar relevant area.
