About the job
In this role you will be an important team player in Group Patent, which supports the Alfa Laval Group with intellectual property services. Alfa Laval's technologies are critical in reducing our customers' environmental impact and in creating sustainable solutions for the future. The focus of Group Patent is to be a close partner to R&D organizations and Product Management teams and to ensure that Alfa Laval's technologies, products and services are protected by intellectual property rights (IPR). You will also work with Group Legal Services and assist with coordinating legal IPR disputes. You will report to the Vice President Group Patent and be based at the headquarters in Lund.
Key responsibilities:
* Handle the formalities related to a patent portfolio and support the Patent Attorneys.
* Manage invention reports and payment of inventor remunerations. Coordinate Patent Committee meetings.
* Support Group Patent and Group Legal Services in coordinating patent litigation and legal IPR disputes.
* Handle deposit accounts and supplier invoices.
Who you are
You are a team player with a customer focus and agility to adapt to the needs of the internal stakeholders. You are well-organized with acumen, having good coordination and multi-tasking skills. You are comfortable working remotely with colleagues at other locations. You also possess a curiosity to learn and take on new challenges.
What you know
To succeed in this role, we believe that you need 1-5 years' experience from working as a Patent Paralegal/Assistant in an in-house industry Patent Department and/or from private practice. Experience in handling EP and PCT applications is beneficial, including using online filing tools.
