hela Sverige ABB?s Breakers and Switchers business unit, part of the Group?s Low Voltage Products (LP), division, currently has an opening for a technology- and business-minded global product specialist to join our Fusegear and Cable Distribution Cabinets (CDC), team based in Alingsås, close to Sweden?s second city Gothenburg. Working across disciplines and Group functions on mission-critical technologies, you will be required to grow our business in Nordic and global markets.

Task
Your primary responsibility will be to support ABB Fusegear and CDC product managers to further develop our product portfolio and corresponding global business to ensure profitable growth. Crucially, you will ensure that ABB has a comprehensive understanding of relevant market requirements, and transform these into product development activities. Working closely with colleagues across the Nordic region, you will actively co-ordinate with R&D, sales and marketing, quality and operations to ensure optimal market access, maximum customer satisfaction, and ultimately enhanced profitability.
This relatively junior but multi-functional product management role requires close co-operation with the sales team. You will be expected to manage the portfolio and take decisions relating to it. The majority of your activities will be focused in the Nordic region, as well as outside the Nordics when required. You will need to apply a mix of technical competence and business skills to ensure future growth.
Requirements
You have a highly positive, proactive, entrepreneurial attitude, and are constantly searching for and identifying new business opportunities, with an eye on growing revenue. Driven, energetic and outgoing, you have strong social skills, and are motivated by challenges. Systemic and analytical thinking are crucial, as is the ability to combine technical understanding with business awareness in terms of meeting ABB?s strategic, long-term success. Good presentation and communication skills will be advantageous.
You have a MSc or BSc in electrical engineering or equivalent. Basic knowledge of MS Office or similar programmes is essential, and more in depth skills in Excel would be preferred, as would knowledge of SAP. You must be fluent in, or have extremely strong English. Skills in Swedish, German or Chinese would be beneficial.
Application or technical knowledge of low-voltage power distribution or related components would strongly support your application, but is not required. Experience of electrical engineering, industrial product marketing or power distribution would be beneficial, but again not a requirement. Experience of work or study abroad will also be a plus. You preferably have one to two years? work experience, although this could also be a summer job, Master thesis or similar.
