The H&M Head Office is based in Stockholm, Sweden, where we design and develop our fashion collections for a wide variety of customers. Job Description
As a Junior Designer at the Girlswear division you will be working closely with our Senior Designer together with our wider team. Essentially you will focus on jersey and licensed prints/graphics across multi product( such as tops, trousers, sweatshirts & hoodies) for 8 - 14 year olds. The role requires high tempo and ability to drive tasks independently. Your responsibility will be varied administrative tasks, designing , flat sketching, working in 3D Clo, assisting with fittings and working with different jersey qualities. You will be working closely with product development and involved in developing collections sold worldwide in all H&M markets for the girls wear customer. We have high ambitions and a great team spirit!
About You
We are looking for someone with a true love and passion for the Girls customer with experience for designing garments and print licensed product. You are positive, energetic, creative and playful with a great eye for upcoming fashion trends for girls customer groups. Our work includes full collection creating and teamwork and ability to prioritize is very important. You should be used to work independently and used to fast decision making. Great understanding of process and communication skills. A flexible mindset with an ambition to develop further within our kids department!
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are/have:
Have a minimum BA degree in Textile/Fashion Design and work as an experienced junior fashion designer /Design Assistant today, preferably for commercial fashion
A minimum of 1-2 years' work experience as a Junior Designer
Have strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/illustrator
Meriting to have experience from working with licensed product and print/graphic knowledge
CLO 3D work experience is meriting
A true passion for and understanding of our H&M Girlswear customer
Passion for fashion, its current and future trends
A strong customer focus and enjoys working with commercial fashion
A team player who thrives working in a diverse setting where you contribute with your perspectives
Like a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment with parallel tasks in an organized, structured manner
English fluency (Swedish not necessary)
