We are now looking for a new team member to ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) in Stockholm. You will work as a Junior Scientific Expert and support the Epidemic Intelligence Team (EI).
This is a temporary assignment starting in the beginning of June and until the end of September. For the right person there is a good chance of extension of the assignment.
ECDC has introduced a hybrid working model with a minimum presence in the office of 2 days/week. It is a requirement that you are based in Sweden or can relocate here immediately. No remote work (from another country/city) is possible for this position.

Perform epidemic intelligence activities, including screening of open media sources
Contribute to surveillance of communicable disease threats
Support event-based surveillance activities
Participate in monitoring of mass gathering events
Support training in Epidemic Intelligence

Qualifications
Epidemic Intelligence

monitoring of open media sources and/or social media
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Good analytical skills
Knowledge of programming languages, particularly R and/or python
Very good Microsoft office skills
Ability to work effectively with short deadlines
