Our client produces some of the best coaches and buses in the world with over 9000 deliveries annually. They are currently in a big shift towards electromobility and are looking for a driven Diagnostics Engineer to help improve their Service Market Technology function responsible for increasing uptime and providing both tools and information that can shorten service time and decrease costs.
A central part of your role will involve producing diagnostic content for mechanics and service centers locally, but also globally. You will focus on creating fault tracing instructions for the constantly changing electrical systems in vehicles on the roads. You will be trained in product and system knowledge used in the company and create a logical and easy-to-use work flow for mechanics that connect to a bus and run diagnostics on it. The team is responsible for this type of fault tracing instructions and work closely with colleagues from Product Development and After Market that are responsible for many of the tools used in day to day operations.
The role involves mechanics, testing and electronics, all of which are used on a daily basis. You will need to have an interest in all areas to succeed in this role along with great personal drive and communication skills.
Main responsibilities:
Create fault tracing diagnostic instructions using Grade-X SuiteWork in specific projects i.e. Safety Systems - to create product specific tools and instructions Support colleagues within the Tech Service and Mechanic organizationUnderstand the interaction between engine, driveline, electrical system and driver environment
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
BSc or MSc in mechatronics, electrical engineering or other relevant field involving electronics and programming Fluent in English Solution oriented with excellent communications skills Tech-savvy - quick to develop a deep understanding of new software
Meritorious experience:
Prior experience from the automotive industryHobby projects involvind electronics/mechatronics/programming

You like to engage with people and find solutions to new and sometimes complex problems. Networking comes easy for you and you have no problem working in a close-knit team.
NOTE - You have to be OK with working in Arendal.
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
You will become part of a global company where your specific team consists of 6 people - 5 experienced colleagues and a team lead. You will often work cross-functionally in projects with colleagues in other departments, or colleagues within Service Market Technology. As you mature in your role you will also be expected to represent the group in different forums and discussions around diagnostic development, as well as help with cross functional development of the electrical system and components.
When you feel that you are ready for the next step, there will be opportunities to grow within the company in a suitable role, for example within electrical engineering, or in other departments.
