About the Role
Do you want to help shape installation solutions in advanced heavy truck development? In this role, you will work with VCB system installations in an engineering environment where new technologies and modular solutions are integrated into ongoing vehicle projects.
You will be part of a cross-functional setup with close collaboration across product planning, production, design, and suppliers. The work spans areas such as distribution boxes, charging boxes, inlet installations, PTO installations, cable harness brackets, strain relief solutions, and cable interface integration within the chassis domain.

Job DescriptionYou will design and develop VCB system installations in heavy truck projects using CATIA and established design standards.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to create robust, manufacturable, and scalable solutions.
You will support integration work, validation testing, and design reviews to secure quality in the final solution.
You will maintain and update technical documentation and support production-related activities when needed.
You will contribute to daily team collaboration through stand-ups, coordination, and knowledge sharing.
You will support continuous improvement of digital tools and engineering processes connected to the design work.
RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 2 years of design engineering experience.
Strong skills in sheet metal bracket design.
Experience in chassis installation for heavy-duty trucks.
Proficiency in CATIA V5 and tolerance analysis.
Knowledge of manufacturability principles for sheet metal.
Ability to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams in design reviews.
English is required.
Nice to haveExperience from the automotive industry.
Experience within Scania or TRATON Group R&D.
Swedish language skills.
