What you'll be doing
Your primary responsibilities will include, collaborating with developers and business drivers, learning the trade and implementing the technical roadmap for how we want to make data available within the Savings & Investments area.
Technologies available span over a wide range, including amongst others
Object oriented languages. Python, C# .Net, Kafka, Containers, OpenShift, GCP, REST API, API architecture. Kubernetes, CID pipelines, Scaling, relational databases (Oracle/MSSQL/DB2), Big Data (Hadoop/Data Lake/Spark, Tableau, and more.
Learning will be a mix of doing things hands on, courses and having one or multiple mentors to guide you.
One day you could be building a microservice making data available through and API. The next you could be working on data warehouse modelling.
As part of our delivery team you will communicate and collaborate with colleagues, Key stakeholder, provide input and innovation for the technical vision. As a team we often work with mob and pair programming. We swarm on issues and optimise for quality and knowledge sharing over individual capacity utilization.
The team has a mix of T-shaped individuals with different expertise areas. Over time you will also develop an area of expertise where you will become an expert.
Who are we looking for
You are probably a fresh B.sc or M.sc graduate from a tech programme or have a similar experience from working. To succeed in your role, you need experience in being a team player. You care about your team members, the code and the products we own.
You possess an analytical mind-set that enables you to think from different perspectives and solve technical and social challenges. Have an ability you but yourself in the shoes of our users/customers in order to provide good customer focus in our deliveries.
