About Us
At Ericsson we believe that strong management of the legal department underpins our business success. We're looking to bring in a smart, curious, and driven junior analyst to support our financial processes-especially around outside counsel costs, invoice reporting, and analytics. You'll get exposure to both the legal world and the finance world in an international, collaborative environment.
Your Mission
You will be the go-to person for analysing, reporting and helping optimise the legal department's cost base and outside counsel spend. You'll turn data into insights, help build dashboards, and support decision-making across the legal team and finance business partners.
What You Will Do
* Support the monthly/quarterly reporting of legal department spending: outside counsel invoices, internal legal cost centres, budget vs actuals.
* Assist with extracting, cleansing and analysing invoice and narrative data from law-firms, our systems and stakeholders.
* Build and maintain dashboards and visualisations to show cost trends, key metrics (e.g., spend by law-firm, matter type, region).
* Work together with the Budget Control & Performance Transformation Lead and External Counsel Relationship Counsel to identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation.
* Validate that law firm and legal service provider invoices align with matters, budgets, and agreed fee arrangements.
* Support process-improvement initiatives: standardising templates, automating recurring reports, improving data quality.
* Participate in ad-hoc analyses and respond to business partner queries.
* Communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders (legal team, finance, outside counsel).
What You Bring
* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or similar.
* 1-2 years of relevant professional experience (fresh graduates with relevant internships are welcome).
* Strong analytical mindset: comfortable working with numbers, analysing data and producing insights.
* Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel; some exposure or willingness to learn PowerBI / data-visualisation tools is a plus.
* Interest or willingness to learn about finance in the legal department, matter management and outside-counsel cost processes.
* Curious, hands-on, proactive: you don't just deliver data - you question it, explore it, suggest improvements.
* Good communication skills in English. Comfortable working in a global, matrix organisation.
* A team player with a can-do attitude, adaptable in a changing environment and eager to learn.
This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden. Please apply ASAP as we will be reviewing the applications ongoing.
