hela Sverige The Global Resin Team of Wood Coatings is responsible for adaptation and development of new resin platforms and to support large development projects globally. The group works with a variety of technology such as PUD, acrylics, polyesters and alkyds both waterborne and solventborne. Two global development groups for exterior and interior coatings within Wood Coatings also exist on the site.
We have an immediate opening for the position as Junior Chemist to join our team at the Global Resin Development Laboratory in Malmö, Sege.
The work includes running, following up and executing the projects which have been agreed.
The type of task in the projects may include literature studies and patent searches as well as assisting on continuously screening of raw material. A big part of the role is related to laboratory work. Producing samples for customer tests, setting the parameters for the production process and the quality control is also a part of the work.
All tasks should aim to follow and to reach the established specifications and predetermined time frames of the project. The work includes handling all documentation needed according to the routines of the stage gated project as well as analyzing the results, write reports for developed products and completed milestones.
The work includes the employee to stay updated, searching for technical literature, collecting information from the market and other external sources which could be of interest to be able to introduce new methods and technologies into the market.

This is a permanent position on a full time basis, reporting to Team Leader Resin Development Lab. The position is based in Malmö, Sege.

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or similar knowledge obtained through relevant work experience
• Good knowledge in Swedish and English, written and spoken
• Experience and knowledge within polymer / resin is beneficial.

You are a good communicator and have a strong ability to cooperate within teams. It is important that you are solution oriented, creative and have a natural curiosity within the work field.
