Who we are

The team members of the Exterior team are working to secure the supplier base for current demands as well as working to meet our future challenges. We are working in an international environment in close cooperation with our colleagues in the Volkswagen and Traton Group.

Responsibilities

In your role as Junior Buyer, you will be part of the hoses segment. Together with your more senior colleagues, you will be developing the supplier base and setting strategies, assuring the right technology, quality, delivery, and cost focusing on sustainability. You will be surrounded by a high level of experience and competence which will provide you with great learning opportunities - all while contributing to the team's success from day one.

As a Buyer, you will be supporting a Sourcing Manager in a variety of administrative and operational tasks, with your own areas of responsibilities, making this role the perfect start of your purchasing career. Some of your assignments:

• implementing technical changes on existing products in close cooperation with R&D and the supplier base
• administrative tasks such as invoice handling, issuing orders, and updating price-lists
• part of the overall strategic work in the 3-ring with your colleagues from project purchasing and quality assurance
• evaluating and implementing ideas for cost optimization
• supporting in resolving delivery disturbances as well as assuring capacity at suppliers, securing a robust and resilient supply chain in the long term

In your role, you have to align and communicate with several internal cross-functions and our suppliers. Based on your skillset and engagement, there will be great development opportunities within the role, for example by taking on more complex assignments and negotiation cases

Your profile

You are a person with a great commercial interest and a passion for doing business while staying close to technology. You are analytical, structured, take your own initiative, and are able to handle multiple things at the same time. You like to support others and are service minded.

You are good at maintaining relationships and like to represent purchasing in cross functions as well as towards suppliers in a professional way. You are also self-driven with high integrity and contribute to the development of the team. We see that you have an academic degree in industrial engineering, business, or similar.

You see and can balance stakeholder needs and you are not afraid to raise your voice when needed. One of the most important aspects is your ambition and willingness to learn and develop with us.
