This is a one-year project-based employment opportunity initially based at Moleculent's head office in Solna, Stockholm. JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be a part of the Analysis team that today consists of 6 people and your scope will include cross-functional work within the company.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leverage your expertise in image processing techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex biological images.
• Apply advanced algorithms for image segmentation, feature extraction, and pattern recognition.
• Use machine learning to develop models for predictive analytics and classification of biological data.
• Collaborate with other members of your team to integrate machine learning approaches into analysis pipelines.
• Utilize your understanding of biological processes to interpret and contextualize data outcomes.
• Bridge the gap between computational analysis and biological insights, contributing to the overall success of our research projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
To fit the role, you have a bachelor's or master's degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field. Applicants with a biological sciences background but proven bioinformatics experience are welcome to apply. A Ph.D. with demonstrated results in a data-intensive field with applied data analysis skills is an advantage.
• Experience with image processing techniques, including segmentation, feature extraction, and analysis.
• Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their application to biological data.
• Good understanding of biological processes and the ability to interpret data in a biological context.
• Strong programming skills (Python) and proficiency in relevant bioinformatics tools. R knowledge and familiarity with scverse tools and Seurat is an advantage.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English and excellent communication skills are mandatory for effective collaboration within the team and company.
• The ability to contextualize technical findings and be able to make them understandable to colleagues with different domains of expertise is an advantage.
To succeed in the Junior Bioinformatician role, you must have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. This includes the ability to put technical findings into context and being able to present them to colleagues with different domains of expertise efficiently.
