The responsibility within that platform is to develop the full solution regarding their product. As an automation engineer the tasks is focused on the filling machines supported by the platform.
The work is performed in an agile environment through cross functional scrum teams and a Kanban team that are managed and coordinated via a dedicated program.
They need to complement the existing team with one additional Automation Engineer consultant that has a passion for development & life cycle management.
They seek a true team player that easily can collaborate with different types of people and competences and can embrace their agile principles implementing them in the clients environment. A service minded mentality is required.
It is of very high importance that the team member will be able to communicate and explain the needs from the automation area for the team and the surrounding stakeholders in a natural pragmatic way.
The candidate we are seeking will initially handle automation life cycle related activities and the ambition is that the candidate will be able to drive cases from start to finish, i.e. evaluate and find a technical solution, verify & validate, document and release official kit to the clients machines installed at their customers.
As an automation engineer, we seek a broad profile with emphasis on PLC programming in Rockwell Automation. Other very meriting skill sets are electrical design, machine safety & motion control.
Experience on the whole development process from documentation, development, test and commissioning is seen as strong merit.
The Kanban team is based in Lund but in the work there will be a future need to travel to suppliers and/or customers to support at different stages.
Role Description
An Automation Engineer consultant works with programming, testing and commissioning in order to create solutions adapted to different product types and customer needs. The focus is on automation engineering in alignment with process engineering to ensure the total functionality.
The consultant performs analysis, system design and creates original or modifies existing HMI, database and PLC programs to meet project requirements. The work can also consists of ongoing customer support & troubleshooting and automation training for customer personnel on systems/modules.
