Now we are looking for an enthusiastic junior engineer to join our Chip Platforms IP team.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be part of the ASIC verification team responsible for ensuring that Axis' digital integrated circuits performs correctly before the chip is manufactured. We work with agile methods and you will take part in all phases of the chip development cycle.
As a design verification engineer you will architect and implement verification environments based on state of the art techniques and tools, e.g. SystemVerilog and UVM, formal connectivity checking and property verification, and power aware simulation for low power designs. Object-oriented architectures and frameworks are a fundamental part of our verification environments.
Our hardware blocks often implement functionality such as image processing, video compression and computer vision. As a verification engineer you will also have a chance to learn about and work with the algorithms behind the hardware. In addition to verification tasks hardware modelling and low-level software development may also be part of the job.
We place great emphasis on continuous improvement and work tasks may include investigating new verification technologies or evaluating new tools. There are also opportunities to write papers and present at international conferences.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a graduate engineer with an exceptional talent for programming and a genuine interest in learning about ASIC verification. Our verification environments are often quite elaborate, so it is important that you have an aptitude for understanding, implementing and maintaining complex software systems.
Good understanding of computer science in general, and object-oriented programming in particular, is required. An educational background that includes hardware design is an advantage but not necessary.
We will also consider experienced candidates with a background in a related field, e.g. embedded software development.
