Our story begins with Shadi Bitar and Ninos Malki, who came to Sweden from Syria as kids and discovered that books could be a bridge - helping them learn the language, understand the culture, and explore new worlds.
A thought emerged, what if everyone could have that? And just like that, Nextory was born - your all-access pass to read, listen, and discover new perspectives without limits.
And now, we're on a quest to find a Junior Accountant.
Let us tell you about the role At Nextory, you'll play an important role in keeping our financial processes running smoothly across all our group entities. From supplier invoices to month-end closings, you'll help ensure everything runs with precision while also contributing to improving how we work through smarter processes, and better use of our finance systems.
This is a role in a fast-moving environment where things happen quickly and no two days are exactly the same. You'll work with both structured processes and ad hoc tasks, and priorities may shift as new needs arise across the business.
Some of the things you'll work with:
Managing the supplier invoice flow from receipt to payment and acting as a super user for Medius
Making sure invoices are correctly coded, approved through the right workflows, and paid on time
Supporting the team during monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings across our entities
Reviewing and managing employee expense reports and ensuring proper documentation
Contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives within our finance systems
We are always looking for ways to improve and optimize our workflows. In this role, you will also have the opportunity to work with scripts and automation to help make our processes even more efficient.
The main character we're looking for We believe you are at the beginning of your accounting career and eager to learn and grow in a modern, fast-moving company. You are a driven and service-minded person who enjoys working with structure and accuracy, but you are also curious about how technology and automation can improve financial processes. Furthermore, you have great communication skills in both Swedish and English.
We believe you have:
Relevant educational background or equivalent work experience
At least 2 years of experience in a similar finance role
Basic understanding of financial processes, bookkeeping, and accounting principles
Experience working with invoice management or financial systems (experience with Medius is a plus)
The Nextory way of working At Nextory, we believe a strong and inclusive culture is key to our success and that culture flourishes when we meet and collaborate in person as much as possible. That's why we spend the majority of the working time at our beautiful office!
We are based in Stockholm, Sweden, with offices in Paris and Bangalore. Our hybrid work policy includes four days in the office and Wednesdays as a work-from-home day.
Your next story starts here We look forward to your application. Applications are reviewed continuously and if you have any questions about the role feel free to contact Erika Thorslund, Talent Acquisition Partner,
erika.thorslund@nextory.comPlease note that we do not offer relocation and that a six-month probationary period applies.
