They are now in the starting blocks for taking their already world-leading engine platform to the next level to further reduce the transport sector 's environmental impact.
Information about the client and position
The team you will be joining consists of ten engineers who work closely together. The team is responsible for several functions in the engine control unit, ranging from engine and combustion optimization, sustainable emission strategies, starter motor control, and engine speed control. The team is also developing functionality for fellow TRATON group members such as MAN in Germany and Navistar in the USA.
Job duties
As a Jr System developer, you will be part of all steps in the development process. You will also get the chance to work on both pre-development projects as well as you will investigate and solve problems found in the current production software. Some of the tasks that you will be assigned are:
* Developing new software functionality in the engine management system
* Testing your functionality in different environments, for example in a simulation environment, testbed, or in a truck
* Continuous discussions and cooperation with colleagues

We are looking for
As a person you are anallytical and wnjoys problem solving, and also a team player that enjoys working with other people in the group but also around the whole of R&D. We believe that you have an education with a technical orientation and knowledge within:
* C-programming or similar programming languages
* Matlab/Simulink
It is a merit if you have experience in combustion engine physics or powertrain development.

Professionals Nord is looking for a junior Software Developer. During the first 12 months, you work as a consultant through Professionals Nord and if the cooperation has worked well, you have good opportunities for continued employment with the client company which is our common goal.
