The Jr. QA Engineer will be part of a new, small automation team in Procera?s QA department. The essential responsibility will be to work with the Sr. QA Automation Engineer and other Jr. QA automation Engineer(s) to develop and maintain Procera?s automated test infrastructure, develop automated tests, and to develop test tools as required for use by the larger QA group.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the development and maintenance of Procera?s automated QA infrastructure
• Develop new test cases that run inside the automated framework
• Maintain and update existing automated tests within the framework.
• Port tools/tests that have been written outside the framework into the common automation framework
• Develop tools as needed for special projects/tests
• Assist with field projects from time to time, that may require automation and/or manual testing
• Assist with general manual testing from time to time, as required
Qualifications/Requirements:
• BSc or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Math
• 1-2 years of experience in a related field, or a related masters thesis
• Programming/scripting skills
• Networking knowledge (TCP/IP and Layer 7 applications)
• Working Linux knowledge
Desired Skills:
• Networking tool familiarity (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc)
• Linux
• Python
