Symcel is a Swedish medtech company in an exciting commercial scale-up phase and with offices in Stockholm, Boston and Copenhagen. 86 MSEK has just been raised allowing the company to launch the world's fastest system for the detection of live bacteria. Symcel's latest system delivers a brand-new solution for testing sterility in the growing cell and gene therapy (C>) market using the unique properties of the calorimetry-based detection system paired with machine learning and in-depth application knowledge.

Lead generation: Use various strategies and tools to identify potential leads from different sources such as social media platforms, networking events and conferences followed by proactive outreach presenting and explaining the features and benefits of the company 's solutions.
Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Prepare comprehensive sales plans that align with the company's goals and sales targets. Implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets, fill the pipeline, expand the customer base and penetrate new markets.
Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Understand customer needs and offer solutions and support that meet those needs.
Closure of deals: Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales targets.
Customer Support: Make sure that any problems and issues from customers are handled, solved, and answered correctly and within a reasonable time.
Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Forecast future sales and formulate sales reports for management. Use data and analytics to guide decision-making and strategy adjustments.
Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with Application, Marketing, Product Development, and Customer Service teams to ensure to tailor solutions to client needs and a consistent and cohesive approach to sales and customer satisfaction.
Market Awareness: Keep up to date with market trends, industry changes and competitive landscape to understand client challenges and opportunities and to share insights with relevant company functions.
About You
For this role, we believe you excel in customer outreach, lead generation and closure of deals, working with customers on a long-term basis. You have experience being part of a scale-up company and/or introducing a completely new technology within life science.
You are an energetic, proactive person, with a customer centric mindset and enjoys cross-functional collaboration.
Required Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Proven Sales Experience: 10+ years of successful international sales experience, including selling capital equipment or tools offerings in the life science industry. Experience from the cell and gene therapy area is an advantage but not a requirement.
Proven Experience in Lead Generation/prospecting: Demonstrated ability in proactively generating high-quality leads.
Experience from regulated markets: Preferably a few years of experience selling solutions to customers with regulatory requirements.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers, partners, and Symcel colleagues.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, sales data, and financial reports to inform strategies and decisions.
Customer Service Orientation: A strong focus on customer satisfaction and the ability to manage customer relationships and expectations.
Education: Master's degree in life science
Proficient in English: Confident in both written and spoken English.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to adapt to new sales technologies and tools.
Travel flexibility: Willing and able to travel at least 5-8 days per month mainly within Europe.
