We are currently looking to employ a versatile and highly organised multi tasker for a gallery assistant job. Modernity Stockholm is an internationally renowned design gallery based in Stockholm that specialises in the selling and collecting of 20th Century Scandinavian design. Besides running the gallery, we exhibit regularly at the large design fairs in London, Paris and New York. You therefore need to be fluent in both written and spoken English. Swedish, French and/or German are not necessary requirements, but would certainly be helpful. It is required that you have a European driver's license.

Besides having a passionate interest in vintage design, your main tasks will include email and office work, administration and logistics (i.e. emailing clients, organising transports and website updates). You will be expected to assist with advertising and marketing and manage all social media sites. You furthermore need to be active and willing to help out with occasional physical tasks, such as moving furniture/ textile/ lighting pieces in the gallery or warehouse.

Modernity is a small business and you will work very closely with the two gallery owners and one other employee. This is a full time position, but hours can be discussed. Salary will be discussed according to experience.
