We are searching for an independent freelance consultant
The Asthma and Allergy organizations in the Nordic countries have a joint organization NAO, to ensure good dialogue and exchange of information and experience. Under this organization a working group is established to invest the possibilities for a joint Allergy Label in the Nordic countries. The organizations in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark all have their own national allergy label, whereas Island is still new in this area with no own label but there are imported products mainly from Denmark where the Danish label is present. The purpose of the working group is first of all to explore if a joint Nordic Allergy Label is the way forward in the future of preventing allergy and asthma not only in the Nordic countries but also in Europe as time goes.
To help on this issue, the organizations are looking for a freelance consultant to help with analyzing the market and the organizations and in the end come up with some recommendations to decide whether or not to go forward with a joint Nordic Allergy Label.
Tasks
o Collecting data and opinions from the organizations. Get to know the labels that are in use now and the concept and business model behind a joint Nordic label.
o Help facilitate marketing research
o Define the marketing research
o Collect three different offers from marketing companies
o Assist during the marketing research
o Present the results. Recommendation for further work. Several suggestions, with pro and cons based on the marketing research and the discussions with the organizations.
Requirements
You need to have
• Marketing/business/analysis background
• Experiences with and interest in a non-profit organization
• Knowledge about the Nordic market and culture
• Structural and analytical skills
• Strong English skills. Preferable also one or more Nordic languages.
We would prefer if you also have
• Background in negotiations across cultures/countries
• Background in CSR, labels, certification programs etc.
• Interest or knowledge about asthma and allergy
It would be beneficially if you live in one of the Nordic countries, due to time differences and travelling cost. We expect you to travel to one daily meeting in the Nordic area during the time of the project.
Time of hire and salary
We expect the hiring period to be mid-April to November 2016 with an expected time used app. 40 hours.
This is phase one of two. If there is a good outcome of the first phase there is an opportunity to prolong the hiring period.
The salary will reflect similar jobs and the organizations behind the project. Please state in the application your expected hourly consultancy salary.
The first screening of candidates will be via Skype during the first week of April. Job interviews will be with the members of the working group 13th of April in a location in the Nordic area. The location depends on where the candidates live, we will try to place it as near the candidates as possible.
