About the site
Digital River World Payments offers an exciting work environment with a variety of platforms for e-commerce , payments, logistics, marketing , etc. At Digital River World Payments is the focus of payment products on a Java - based platform. To handle the high demands we have on response time , availability and uptime , we have developed a modular payment platform with real-time systems and back-office services . For real-time systems revolve challenges of response times, availability, redundancy , security, and scalability. For back office systems , it is about processing large amounts of data , database optimizations and report generation. Our environment is database intensive and complex as new systems coexist with older and we have integrations with banks and card issuers worldwide.
As part of the development team designing , coding and unit test the new products. Team composition is international and we have an agile approach , influenced by SCRUM , which means that you work with the entire development cycle.
For example, the responsibilities and duties :
• Requirements Decomposition , technical design, programming , and unit testing with the team
• Estimation during sprint planning and jacking of QA during the sprint
• Maintenance and modification of existing applications
• Write and implement unit testing
• Bug Correction and feature add- in software
• Development of technical documentation to ensure effective maintenance and code reuse
• Ensuring the functionality, performance , scalability , reliability, time estimate and system architecture for each assignment
• Come up with recommendations for improvements in the overall development process
• Trend existing techniques and technologies that impact the work
• Active participation in team meetings and contributing ideas

Who are we looking ?
What we value most is the right attitude and ability to learn. In addition , we encourage you meet the following qualifications:
• 3 + years of programming experience in Java
• Experience with Java SE , SQL, Unix and Linux
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience
• NoSQL
• Cassandra

• Managing complex legacy systems
• Good command of English both written and oral
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non- technical
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize in a dynamic work environment
• Experience with Scrum or other agile development methods

• Experience in payment systems , transaction management , financial systems or large-scale e -commerce solutions
• Web Services , Hibernate, real-time systems / Concurrency
• Test Driven Development
• Cryptography
• C # , PHP, Groovy , or other modern languages.
