As our quest to democratise financial services continues at blazing speed, Zettle's POS Alliance is looking for a passionate Java Software Engineer with a solid deal of experience and a truly Agile mindset to join our Connect Partners team.
In this role, you will be part of an innovative team co-tackling a wide variety of challenges and work with a group of talented people driven by a shared ambition to create hassle-free solutions for our sellers. Easy, right?

Part of our Point of Sale Alliance, the Connect Partners Team has a wide remit covering 3rd party integrations with our POS to creating developer tools that we aspire to be seen as best in class.

At Zettle, we believe in using the best tools and we continuously review our toolkit, architecture and ways of working. Today, our Tech Stack includes Java 15, Kotlin, GraphQL, Dropwizard, Wildfly, Docker, Terraform, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and everything is hosted on Amazon Web Services.
On a day-to-day basis, you will have for mission to architect and develop your (clean) code while taking care of the infrastructure and monitoring our systems. Overall, your everyday life would include:
Design, implement and maintain simple and reliable features with a high level of autonomy.
Take part in system design and collaborate with Teams and other Developers across the whole Backend Chapter, including code reviews, bouncing ideas and Mob Programming.
Experiment and learn about design, technology and processes.
Ensure a high level of quality, usability and maintainability of the reusable components and code.

The skills & traits to succeed
Great communication and collaboration skills combined with a desire to be part of a trully Agile environment.
A true team player mindset with a continuous learning and knowledge sharing spirit: you're known for being reliable, curious and bold, and who constantly thinks about the next developer(s) while coding.
Proven experience in Back-end Development with Java 8+, SQL and NoSQL Database.
Experience of building and maintaining quality, standardized, RESTful APIs, and a good knowledge of Microservices architecture.
Experience of building automated tests (integration/system tests, contract tests, etc.).

Earn extra points if you are...
Familiar with Kotlin (It would be really good...).
Knowledgeable in Cloud platforms (ideally AWS)
Experienced in Fintech or/and Financial services.
