We are looking for new smart members to our Java platform team. If you are interested in working in the team that creates Sony Ericssons world-class Java platform, we want to talk to you. Our performance, stability and feature set is World Class, but we want to take our platform even further.
Sony Ericsson have a very strong commitments to the Java community. We where the first to market with multitasking Java phones, and we where the first to market with high performance Java gaming. Recently we also announced the first JSR-248 Fullset phone on the market, the Z750.
The Java team in Lund is responsible for providing the platform that makes it possible for others to write Java applications for the phone. Thousands and thousands of applications rely on our platform for stability and robustness. Our Java platform is of key value for Sony Ericsson phones, and is directly making an impact on the industry.
The future is full of new challenges for us and to increase our pace in feature growth and platform capability, we need to strengthen our team.
Qualifications:
The job includes maintenance and feature development in C and Java. The products are some of the Java APIs exposed to 3rd party developers in Sony Ericsson phones. We are targeting an embedded system, so knowledge about small systems and efficient programming is beneficial.
You will work together with a highly skilled and motivated team, and you are expected to be the same. Experience from embedded software development is highly appreciated.
